The controversial rapper’s lawyer Herschel Rush claims that Gates will dedicate time and resources towards helping at-risk youth while he’s out on parole, according to TMZ.
His plans include working with organizations like the Boys & Girls Club, sharing stories about his life in an effort to help troubled teens avoid similar trappings.
The Baton Rouge rhymer served five months of a six-month sentence for kicking a female fan in the chest. Upon his release, a weapons-related warrant was uncovered and he was sent back to prison for an additional 30months Now, Gates is being released 21 months early and is set to be on parole with conditions including mandatory supervision and no possession of firearms.
