Gary Neville sends warning to Man United about Chelsea

The Manchester United legend is worried Chelsea could overhaul the Red Devils and secure runners-up spot in the Premier League table

Gary Neville has warned Manchester United that they are facing a real battle to finish in second place.

The Red Devils are Manchester City’s closest rivals after Chelsea missed out on the chance to hoist themselves above Jose Mourinho’s men on Wednesday night.
Chelsea surrendered a second-half lead to draw 2-2 with bitter rivals Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium to leave the Blues in third spot and a point adrift of the Red Devils.
Manchester United are only three points clear of fourth-placed Liverpool FC as the race to secure a Champions League spot hots up with Manchester City well clear at the top of the table.
The title holders have collected 14 points from their last six Premier League games, while Manchester United earned two points fewer during the same number of fixtures.

Chelsea have won the English top-flight crown in two of the past three seasons after Conte’s men finished seven points clear of Tottenham Hotspur last term.
Former Manchester United defender Neville sent a stern warning to the Red Devils that Chelsea will push them all the way for a runners-up spot.
“They’ve got a real challenge on with what Chelsea did to finish in second in the Premier League,” Neville told his Sky Sports podcast.
“While second place should never be accepted or tolerated by a Manchester United side, it would be an improvement of where they have been previously.”
Manchester United finished in sixth spot last term but won the League Cup and the Europa League in Mourinho’s first season in charge.
