Cardi B has officially accomplished a feat that has not been accomplished since 1998. The regular, degular, shmegular girl from the Bronx beat out one of the biggest pop stars in the world to snag the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The raptress became the first female rapper to top the chart without a feature in nearly 19 years. Cardi’s Summer smash “Bodak Yellow” moved from No. 2 to No. 1, permanently etching the Bronx rapper’s name in the hip-hip record books, alongside the one and only, Lauryn Hill.
