MADRID BACK IN FOR DYBALA
Real Madrid are back on the trail of Paulo Dybala and will spend the season monitoring the Juventus striker, claims Mundo Deportivo.
Dybala’s lacklustre performance against Madrid in last season’s Champions League final prompted president Florentino Perez to cool his interest in the Argentina international.
However, after missing out on Kylian Mbappe, Perez is keen on Dybala again after the reported Barcelona and Manchester United target’s impressive start to the new season.
JESUS HAD €25M RELEASE CLAUSE;
Four of Europe’s biggest clubs had the option to sign Gabriel Jesus for less than Manchester City paid for the Brazilian striker, claims Kicker .
City agreed an initial €32 million deal to sign Jesus from Palmeiras in August 2016, with the move officially going through in the 2017 January transfer window.
However, Jesus had a clause in his Palmeiras contract which would have allowed him to join Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Manchester United or Real Madrid for €25m, only for none of the clubs to make an offer.
BARCA WANT COUTINHO IN JANUARY
Barcelona are planning to make a fresh move to sign Philippe Coutinho in January and hope Liverpool will be open to negotiating, claims Sport .
Liverpool rejected all offers from Barca for the Brazilian playmaker during the summer transfer window and have insisted that Coutinho is not for sale.
However, since the transfer deadline passed, Barca have continued to work on a potential deal, with Coutinho reportedly still wanting to move to Camp Nou.
Coutinho’s representatives are rumoured to have met the Liverpool hierarchy and persuaded them to listen to what Barca have to say about a new offer.
BARCA WANT DE LIGT & UPAMECANO
Barcelona are targeting Ajax's Matthijs de Ligt and Dayot Upamecano of RB Leipzig as the defensive pairing of the future, Mundo Deportivo reports.
The 18-year-old centre-backs broke into their respective sides last season and have been tipped for great heights since becoming first-team regulars. And the Catalan side are
looking to boost their options at the back and will make the pair their main objectives.
RONALDO TELLS MADRID TO SIGN MAN UTD WONDERKID
Cristiano Ronaldo has advised Real Madrid to beat arch-rivals Barcelona to the signing of Manchester United teenager Angel Gomes, claims Don Balon .
Gomes has yet to sign his first professional contract with United and could leave Old Trafford for a nominal fee next summer, with Ronaldo reportedly telling Madrid president Florentino Perez that the European champions should sign the 17-year-old attacker.
BARCA CHASE MAN UTD WONDERKID
Manchester United are concerned about losing Angel Gomes, with the 17-year-old forward yet to sign his first professional contract, reports The Sun .
Gomes made his first-team debut for United as a late substitute on the final day of last season and is regarded as one of the brightest prospects to come through the club in many years.
However, United have yet to agree terms on his first deal, with Barcelona waiting in the wings to potentially snap up Gomes for a nominal fee next summer.
